H. F. du Pont entertained his guests in the Conservatory during frequent weekend house parties. Guests enjoyed tea and played cards amid the magnificent displays of flowering plants that changed with the seasons. From here one can see paths leading to several of Winterthur's garden areas - the March Bank, Azalea Woods, the Peony Garden, and the East Terrace. It is truly a place where one can enjoy the beauty of the outside garden, while being surrounded by the immediate beauty and warmth inside.
